Curating content: a.k.a. procrastinating

Let's put the best of the internet on our homepage each day so we can give our readers a look at what's trending in the interwebs, in hopes they won't leave our site to do so.

Sounds like a solid plan. But wait - this means we have to actually curate content from multiple sources!?

Yes, the work is in browsing sites (and Google trends, of course). This leaves lots of room to click, click, click on whatever the heck you want: sometimes it's usable, sometimes it's hilarious and you forget the task at hand, sometimes it's boring (the internet does have it's dull moments too). Point being: it's too easy to procrastinate.

This fact was pointed out in a recent post from socialtimes.com, where the author discusses Pluggio.

Pluggio

Pluggio

Pluggio: worth the hype? Maybe. Their site touts the ability to 'Tame Twitter.' (Yes, please!) Pluggio curates content from many sites and puts them in one spot for you to browse, consider, and delete if needed. The downside? so far, I see one: no more procrastinating.

Do you use tools to curate content for you, or do you manage the grunt work on your own? What works best for you? Share in the comments below, or @alexandraleighs
